SIDI MOTORCYCLE BOOT

Personal project as an avid motorcycle enthusiast passionate and having raced in almost all disciplines of motorcycling. Off-road, road, supermoto, endurance, etc.  I saw an opportunity for an adventure riding boot that offers some of the protection of a full coverage MX boot but with the flexibility of leather boots that give more comfort and feel at the expense of protection. The Exo Chassis concept uses an injection molded skeletal frame that floats and hinges at ankle bones over a conventional waterproof leather boot upper. Plastic toe protection with flex elements molded in for shifting and braking ease. Extra shin and calf protection elements are added and adjustable. A dial in spring and strut at achilles area allows user to dial in how much flex they want the boot to have for comfort when standing off road for long periods of time and protection against over travel or tearing achilles when motorcycle suspension bottoms out over jumps or at speed. A full TPU heel cup attached to the strut and extended plastic with air voids or crumple zones in heel protect riders heel bones from crushing in case of an accident, a very common issue. Built in Gravity Sketch and rendered in Keyshot.
